PH billiards body suspended due to multiple violations

The Asian Confederation of Billiard Sport (ACBS) has suspended the Billiard Sports Confederation of the Philippines (BSCP) for three months due to multiple violations.

Reasons for Suspension:

The Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) has been assigned to temporarily manage billiards affairs in the country while a disciplinary committee investigates the violations.

It’s unclear how this suspension will affect the local billiards scene, but the Philippines is a recognized powerhouse in the sport. The BSCP is currently led by Putch Puyat (President) and Roberto Mananquil (Secretary-General), who have not commented on the issue.

The POC will oversee national players’ participation in major international events, including the World Games 2025 in Chengdu, China (August 7-17) with Jeffrey De Luna representing the Philippines. The BSCP suspension will not exceed three months, and the POC must confirm acceptance of its temporary role to protect the interests of Filipino billiards players.
