AJ Manas bows out of the UK Open after falling to Duong Quoc Hoang of Vietnam. Manas struggled to get a ball off the break, giving himself little opportunity to mount a comeback. Hoang, meanwhile, took full advantage—sinking several tough shots that kept Manas glued to his seat—eventually closing out the match 10–4.

Still, there are encouraging signs of growth in Manas’ game. He’s starting to take more time on his shots when needed, showing a more measured and maturing approach. While there are still areas to improve, with his skill and natural talent, it’s not a matter of if—but when—he’ll be lifting a championship trophy.

Manas is set to return to action at the Morocco Open, scheduled for May 14–18.

Meanwhile, Carlo Biado is now the last Filipino remaining in the tournament and will look to advance against Poland’s Szymon Kural. Their match is set for 11:00 PM Philippine time.
