Alexis Ferrer delivered the performance of his career, defeating Chang Yu Lung 13–10 to win the 2025 Universal CPBA 99 Open and claim his first-ever WNT title.

Ferrer led from the outset, displaying excellent safety play that repeatedly forced Chang into difficult positions and created crucial scoring chances.

That said, there’s still room for improvement—particularly in his consistency with open shots. But this breakthrough victory marks a major milestone for the young Filipino cue artist and could open the door to even bigger opportunities.

Most notably, the World Pool Championship in Jeddah is now within reach. With this win, Ferrer is projected to break into the WNT Top 100, earning $16,000 in prize money and valuable ranking points—potentially securing a spot among the Top 128 invited to the sport’s most prestigious tournament.
