The greats make it look easy—and that’s how Chezka plays when she’s in the zone. Maybe her speed isn’t because she’s in a hurry, but because her computing power is just that fast. She sees the table like Neo sees the code in The Matrix.
But I digress.
Chezka Centeno just defeated Denise Santos 10-6 in the finals to take home the title. A fantastic tournament overall for the Filipinas, with standout performances from youngsters Carmille Buhat and Rhaki Constantino.
Denise gave Chezka a real fight—down 0-4 early, she battled back to 4-5, including a highlight-reel 1-rail kick that thinly sliced the 5 into the corner pocket.
But Centeno is her own highlight factory. At 8-6, she confidently buried a thin cut on the 3 to move to the hill—and closed out the last rack, making tough shots one after another.
Here’s hoping this is just the start of more international stints for our female players as the Asian pool scene continues to open up.
