The 2025 WPA Tang Cheng 9-Ball China Open is scheduled to take place at the Tangzhen Cultural and Sports Center in Pudong, Shanghai, from September 6 to 14. The event will feature top-ranked players from over 30 countries and regions, including several of the world’s top 16 competitors.

The tournament offers a total prize fund of US$373,600. The men’s champion will receive US$40,000, while the women’s winner will take home US$36,000.

China’s national team will be led by Han Yu, the women’s champion from the 2025 Chengdu World Games, as they compete against some of the sport’s biggest names on home soil.

Alongside the main competition, Tangzhen Town will host a billiards community culture festival, aiming to promote cue sports and encourage greater fan engagement during the event.

For attendees, special perks are being offered — ticket holders will receive discounts at participating shopping malls in Tangzhen, covering categories such as dining, jewelry, gold, and entertainment.
