Kyle Amoroto captured the 2025 All Japan Championship title with an 11–5 victory over compatriot Johann Chua. It is the biggest win of Amoroto’s young career and a potential breakthrough moment for one of the Philippines’ most promising rising stars.

Chua opened the match strong, jumping out to a 3–0 lead as he looked poised to chase his third All Japan crown, having previously won the event in 2015 and 2017. But Amoroto answered back with five straight racks to seize control at 5–3.

From there, Amoroto kept Chua at bay, maintaining his lead with a combination of timely breaks, strong composure, and brilliant shotmaking.

With the victory, Amoroto takes home 1st place: 1,600,000 JPY (USD $10,666.67 — Net of tax $8,488.53), while Chua earns 2nd place: 800,000 JPY (USD $5,333.33 — Net of tax $4,244.26) for his runner-up finish.

It was another outstanding showing for the Filipino contingent, with four Filipinos reaching the semifinals. Veteran Antonio Lining once again proved that he remains a force, while surprise contender Rommel Santos made a name for himself with a deep run that will surely open more doors on the international stage.
