Day 1 of the JAX Men’s Open 2025 produced mixed outcomes for the Filipino representatives. 🇵🇭 Jeffrey De Luna opened his campaign with a convincing straight-sets win over 🇺🇸 Landon Hollingsworth, taking the match 2–0 (4–1, 4–1) to advance in the winner’s qualification.

🇵🇭 Roberto Gomez saw his run come to an end after back-to-back losses. He first dropped a tight three-set match against 🇻🇪 Jesus Atencio, 2–1 (4–3, 3–4, 4–1), before suffering a second defeat at the hands of 🇬🇷 Dimitris Loukatos, also in three sets, 2–1 (4–1, 2–4, 4–2), resulting in his elimination from the event.

De Luna is set to return to action on Thursday, December 18, where he will face 🇵🇪 Oscar Valdiviezo. The match is scheduled for 12:30 AM Manila time. A win for The Bull will advance him to the Last 32 rounds.
