A Dominant Weekend at Skinny Bob’s Billiards
🇺🇸 Fedor “The Ghost” Gorst continues to solidify his status as one of the premier players in the world, capturing both the One Pocket division and the main event 10-Ball title at the 2026 Texas Open in Round Rock, Texas.
Gorst Grinds Out the One Pocket Crown
The championship run began on February 14 in the One Pocket final. Gorst, navigating the winner’s bracket flawlessly, held the twice-to-beat advantage over 🇺🇸 Tony Chohan. Coming from the one-loss side, Chohan came out firing, taking the opening race-to-4 set with a 4–2 scoreline to force a true final.
In a tense, race-to-3 decider with everything on the line, Gorst leaned on his elite patience and strategic moves. He grinded out a 3–2 hill-hill victory to secure the One Pocket championship.
10-Ball Main Event Victory
Gorst seamlessly carried his winning momentum into the 10-Ball main event. Earlier in the bracket, he sent 🇵🇪 Gerson Martinez to the elimination side, but the Peruvian star showed incredible resilience. Martinez battled back through the loser’s bracket, ultimately defeating 🇺🇦 Vitaliy Patsura to earn a hard-fought rematch against Gorst in the grand final.
With Gorst once again holding the twice-to-beat advantage under the true double-elimination format, Martinez came out strong. He claimed the first set 7–3, extending the match and forcing a final showdown. However, Gorst answered back when it mattered most, closing out the final deciding set 7–4 to secure his second title of the event.
