Carlo Biado captured the 2026 US Open 1-Pocket Championship after defeating fellow Filipino 🇵🇭 Roland Garcia 5–1 in an all-Filipino final.
Earlier in the day, Biado first faced Garcia in the hot seat semifinal, narrowly losing 3–4 in a marathon match that lasted nearly five hours.
Biado then dropped to the one-loss side and met Tony “T-Rex” Chohan, whom he had sent to the losers’ bracket the previous day with a 4–0 victory. Chohan had just defeated Justin Hall to set up the rematch, but Biado prevailed once again, winning 3–0 to advance to the finals.
In the championship match, the rematch between the two Filipinos proved less dramatic than their earlier battle, with Biado taking control and securing a 5–1 victory over Garcia to claim the title.
The victory adds another major international title to Biado’s resume and marks a strong showing for Filipino players in one of the most respected events in the discipline of one-pocket.
