Team Philippines continued its run at the 2026 Duya Legends Golden Nine International Tour Global Finals, with several Filipino cue artists moving through the early stages of the International Group.
The competition is currently in the International Group phase. The opening bracket reduced the field from 128 players to 64, while the next stage now features 128 players fighting for 32 qualifying spots.
Strong start for the Filipinos in the 128-to-64 stage
Several Filipino players began their campaign in the 128-to-64 stage, with Abdulrauf Rufino Domrang, Benjamin Guevarra, and Dean Mark Castronuevo advancing through the winners side.
Domrang opened with a 35–27 win over Duong Bunthoeun before surviving a close match against Aaron Justin Yip Le-Xian, 37–36.
Guevarra also delivered a strong opening run, defeating Kyranbek Sheshim, 49–27, before beating Aljulanda Al Shiyadi, 49–22.
Castronuevo was also impressive in the opening stage, beating Hamza Ibrahim Aqel, 53–12, before following it up with a 51–16 win over Tsai Pei Chun.
Kyle Amoroto also made it through the previous stage and moved into the 128-to-32 bracket. Angelo Ariola, Gerald Novales, and Jeffrey De Luna exited in the earlier round.
Chua, Orcollo, Amoroto and Mocaibat open Day 2 with wins
The second day saw more Filipino players enter the draw as the tournament moved into the 128-to-32 stage of the International Group.
Johann Chua started his campaign with a 62–28 win over Ameur Abdelati Riad, while Dennis Orcollo defeated fellow Filipino Dean Mark Castronuevo, 65–29.
Kyle Amoroto continued his run with a 57–30 victory over Kim Laaksonen, while Baseth Mocaibat opened with a dominant 62–16 win over Ibrahim Hasan Aqel.
Benjamin Guevarra and Abdulrauf Rufino Domrang, both coming from the previous stage, dropped their opening matches in the 128-to-32 bracket. Guevarra lost to Jason Theron, 21–57, while Domrang fell to Liu Cheng Chieh, 27–60.
