The German raced to a 4–0 lead early on, and though Ko managed to close the gap to 4–3, Neuhausen took complete control from that point forward — blowing the match wide open with brilliant shot-making and airtight safety play to surge ahead 10–3.

With the win, Neuhausen pockets $40,000 and valuable ranking points, bringing his total points to $91,550, making him the top-ranked European player for the Mosconi Cup and #2 in Team Rest of the World standings for the Reyes Cup.
