Seo Seoa is the new WPA Women’s World 9-Ball Champion.

Seo Seoa defeated Kristina Tkach 3–2 [4–1, 1–4, 2–4, 4–3, 4–3 (3–2)] in a dramatic final to claim her first Women’s World 9-Ball Championship title.

Tkach had the chance to close the match in the fourth set with the score tied at 3–3 while holding a 2–1 set advantage. A dry break, however, opened the door for Seo, who capitalized despite a difficult table layout to force a deciding fifth set.

In the final set, Seo jumped out to a 2–0 lead before Tkach responded to level the score at 2–2. Another dry break from Tkach led to an extended safety exchange, which Seo eventually won to reach the hill. Seo then had an opportunity to close the match, but signs of nerves crept in, allowing Tkach to steal the rack and force a shootout.

The shootout was filled with tension, with both players missing two shots. With the shootout tied at 2–2, Tkach missed the opening tiebreaker attempt, giving Seo the opportunity to step in and convert, sealing her maiden World 9-Ball Championship victory.

This win marks Seo Seoa’s third major title of the year, following her victories at the 2025 Little Monster Women’s International Open last November and the 2025 Indonesia Women’s Open in July.
