Filipino billiards professional Rubilen Amit secured a WPBA runner-up finish at the 2026 Raxx Mezz Olhausen CPBA Invitational. Held at Raxx Billiards in West Hempstead, New York, the event featured a competitive field of women’s professional pool players. In her first WPBA tournament appearance, Amit earned $7,800 for her second-place result following a narrow defeat in the championship final.
The Championship Path and Final Match
The path to the finals featured a back-and-forth dynamic between Amit and the current No. 3 ranked WPBA player, Margarita Fefilova Styer. The two competitors initially met in the semifinal hot seat match, where Fefilova Styer delivered a decisive 8–1 victory, sending Amit to the one-loss side of the bracket.
Facing elimination, Amit competed against Kristina Zlateva in the third-place qualifier. Amit secured an 8–5 victory over Zlateva, earning a rematch against Fefilova Styer for the tournament title.
The championship match presented a stark contrast to their previous meeting, with both players trading racks evenly. The match culminated in a high-pressure, hill-hill scenario.
With the score tied and the entire tournament on the line, Fefilova Styer broke the final rack and ran out under maximum pressure, closing out a stunning 10–9 hill-hill victory to capture the championship.
